A Complete, Self-Contained, Machine Vision Imaging System That's Ready to Run!

Little Falls, NY, December 15, 2011: Lecky Integration, innovators in developing custom machine vision applications, is now offering a new, self-contained and customizable machine vision product, DarkHorse. “We realized companies that want to use machine vision for inspection, tracking, security, or quality control have had only two options: limited use, off-the-shelf products, or full-blown, one-off, custom consulting projects,” notes Lecky Integration president, Ned Lecky, PhD. “We created DarkHorse to fulfill customer needs in between these two extremes.”

DarkHorse includes two interchangeable camera mounts, infrared or white LEDs, a high-performance image processing computer and an external GigE communication port, all within a ruggedized, weather-resistant container. Camera mounts accept cameras from AVT, Basler, JAI, and other major, industrial camera manufacturers; using either GigE USB 2.0 or USB 3.0, the system can operate on 12V or 24V, Linux or Windows, and with a dual core Intel CPU or lower cost Atom CPU, depending upon application requirements. Pricing is competitive, and Lecky Integration is offering free evaluation of any customer’s application to optimize the DarkHorse configuration.

DarkHorse offers a cost-effective and easy-to-operate solution for customers in a wide range of industries who require automated, high-speed image processing for:
