Ned Lecky, PhD
Ned is a nationally-known innovator in machine vision solutions and the inventor of the popular and widely installed Sherlock industrial machine vision software, now distributed by DALSA. At Lecky Integration, he is our chief technical leader and guru, as well as president and irrepressible jokester.
A graduate of Princeton University and the University of Vermont, Ned began his career at Control Automation, Inc. and quickly moved onto starting his own business, Intelec Corporation. Since selling that company to Imaging Technology, Ned has been a college professor, developed graduate-level courses, worked a range of companies from alternative energy start-ups to GE Global Research, and authored many articles on software design, algorithms, imaging, embedded systems, and machine vision.
In his very limited spare time, he plays piano and composes music, hikes in the Adirondacks, mountain bikes, and reads current events and history.
He is a member of the Automated Imaging Association (AIA), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, (ASME), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
