Little Falls, New York is a small city of very big charms. Nestled in the narrowest part of the Mohawk River Valley, equidistant from Albany and Syracuse, it was once a major manufacturing center, producing everything from cheese to shoes. While several factories are still in operation making stainless steel tanks, paper, insulation, upholstery batting and more, other former mill buildings have been converted to inns, antique shops, arts centers, fine restaurants, and even homes. We were attracted to the natural beauty, recreation opportunities, vibrant cultural life, and uniquely concentrated transportation corridor, in which train tracks, a major highway, the Mohawk River, the Erie Canal, and a bike path that runs the full east-to-west length of New York State are all in close proximity. We invite you to visit. Like us, you may decide you don’t want to leave.
